Stop the Hate Letters

 This is the email sent to me from the Met Police earlier today per the email below:

 I had this reply   from the Met Police on 16th July "Thank you for contacting The Metropolitan Police Service.  Last night after the New Wing for King George Meeting a group of went to Ilford Police Station to report the publishers of the Ilford Recorder for hate crime. The letter sent to the police is below: The report of hate crime was sent to the police earlier today. I wrote the following to the police A letter was published by the Ilford Recorder on the 27th June 2024 written by Mr Dunlop. inciting religious hatred against Muslims. The letter remains on the Ilford Recorder website it could be redacted but has not been. Although, an apology has been issued by the Recorder two weeks after the event. There is a petition on the letter at https://chng.it/sZBdT62zMx The purpose of the petition was to obtain a debate at Redbridge Council with a view to council seeking a referral to the police. However, the Council have recently declined to accept the petition. I am a practicing Christian, if the rhetoric in Mr Dunbar's letter is allowed, it will destabilise community relations.
